Pope Leo XIV Colorized $2 Bill

Robert Francis Prevost was elected on 5/8/25 to lead the world’s 1.4 billion Roman Catholics, making him the first pope from the United States. He chose the name Leo XIV.

Robert Francis Prevost, 69, was born in Chicago and served for two decades in Peru, where he became a bishop and a naturalized citizen, then rose to lead his international religious order. Leading up to the death of his predecessor, Cardinal Prevost held one of the most influential Vatican posts, running the office that selects and manages bishops globally.

This is a genuine $2 Federal Reserve Note that is selectively colorized to enhance the design. The bill honors Pope Leo XIV .

The colorization is precision-printed using a revolutionary new technique; it the highest quality in the world. Appropriately, the $2 bill is America’s first and only commemorative bank note design. It was originally issued as part of the 1976 bicentennial celebration for the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

In addition to images of Pope Leo XIV, the front features the portrait of Thomas Jefferson; the back depicts the painting “The Signing of the Declaration of Independence” by John Trumbull. 
The bill is in Crisp Uncirculated condition and remains U.S. legal tender. The colorization is privately applied, since the U.S. government does not have the capacity to create enhanced notes. It is not available from the U.S. Treasury but ONLY through special offers like this.

$2 bills are printed in very limited quantities and are rarely seen in circulation.
