Pope Francis Commemorative $2 Bill

This is a genuine $2 Federal Reserve Note that is selectively colorized to enhance the design. The bill honors Pope Francis.

The colorization is precision-printed using a revolutionary new technique; it the highest quality in the world. Appropriately, the $2 bill is America’s first and only commemorative bank note design. It was originally issued as part of the 1976 bicentennial celebration for the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

In addition to images of Pope Francis, the front features the portrait of Thomas Jefferson; the back depicts the painting “The Signing of the Declaration of Independence” by John Trumbull. 
The bill is in Crisp Uncirculated condition and remains U.S. legal tender. The colorization is privately applied, since the U.S. government does not have the capacity to create enhanced notes. It is not available from the U.S. Treasury but ONLY through special offers like this.

$2 bills are printed in very limited quantities and are rarely seen in circulation. Most are acquired by collectors, but just a tiny fraction of all $2 bills have been set aside for this special colorized edition. This is a limited edition that is available for just a short time. The bill is displayed in a custom  Display folder that preserves its condition and allows it to be safely shown to family and friends.
