Emergency Silver Eagles

During the pandemic of 2020 the mint was forced to close the West Point and San Francisco mints, resulting in a shortage of silver eagles. To make up for the shortall, the mint produced 240,000 silver eagles in the Philadelphia mint during the month of April. These coins have no mint mark, but have been certified by grading agencies as part of these rare coins.
