This collection tells the fascinating story of the Dollar in U.S. history – from the classic Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars from the early 20th century, to the Eisenhower and Silver Eagle coins of the late 20th century.  All four coins are struck in silver and are massive in size compared to today’s dollar coins.

The Morgan Dollar was the coin of the “Wild West,” while the Peace Dollar was the last silver dollar ever struck for circulation.  Both coins were made in 90% silver and are increasingly hard to find.

The Eisenhower Dollar was the last large-size circulating dollar coin and this specimen is struck in 40% silver.

In 1986, the U.S. Mint released its official silver coin.  Struck in one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver, the Silver Eagle is the world’s most popular silver coin.
