2025 American Silver Eagle Proof Coin PR70 - Inaugural Strike

Originally introduced in 1986, the American Eagle Silver Proof Coin has become an iconic collectible within U.S. Mint history. Struck at the West Point Mint and bearing the “W” mint mark, this 2025 edition continues a beloved tradition with enhanced artistic detail and elegant presentation.

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty design—Lady Liberty in full stride, cloaked in the American flag, extending her hand toward the sunrise with laurel and oak in the other. In 2021, the U.S. Mint refined the design using original historical assets, enhancing details and reintroducing Weinman’s traditional artist mark. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year of issue.

The reverse, introduced in 2021, shows a majestic eagle descending with an oak branch in its talons—symbolizing strength and renewal. The design is by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, two prominent contributors to the U.S. Mint’s Artistic Infusion Program.

The coin also includes updated security features, such as a variable reeded edge, further reinforcing its status as a modern numismatic work of art.

Each coin is encapsulated and presented in a black clamshell display case adorned with the official U.S. Mint seal and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity featuring the obverse design.
