1899 $2 Silver Certificate Banknote "mini porthole"

This 1899 $2 Silver Certificate bears a familiar portrait of George Washington, along with an attractive blue seal and serial number. Notes like this are sometimes referred to as “mini-portholes” by collectors because George Washington seems to be eyeballing the viewer from inside a ship’s porthole.
