Presidential Dollar

The United States Mint began honoring our Presidents with $1 circulating coins in 2007. The coins are issued in the order in which each President served in office. These golden dollars feature a likeness of the President on the obverse and the Statue of Liberty on the reverse. Edge-incused inscriptions bear the year of minting, mint mark, and E PLURIBUS UNIM. “In God We Trust” was moved from the edge to the obverse in 2009.
