The obverse portrays the effigy of His Majesty King Juan Carlos. The encircling text in uppercase letters reads: JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPAÑA. The mint year, 2013, flanked by single beads, is inscribed at the base of the coin curve. A beaded edge delimits the coin ground.
The reverse features the FIFA World Cup trophy. At left, a representation from a football match of two players vying for the ball; at right, a single football player chest traps the ball; further right, the mintmark. Below left another football player aiming to kick the ball; at right, an image of the territory of Brazil, and within this the rhombus and the celestial globe symbolic of the Brazilian national flag.
